Is YDP 140 worth buying for $500?

A:

The YDP 140 is a great digital piano from a top tier company, but that's less than 1/2 the price. I would wonder what's wrong with it to be discounted so heavily.

I'm looking at used digital pianos in my local music store. I wanted something with weighted keys, 88 keys, and portable (wanted an acoustic piano feeling, may use it for gigs). I found Casio CDP-100 on sale for $200 and Yamaha P-115 for $500, both in great conditions. Yamaha P-115 seemed like a much better product, but then would it be worth to pay that much more for it when I can get Casio CDP-100 for $200? Any advice?

My gut reaction is: Definately go with the Yamaha. However, Casio pianos have been getting a lot better recently. If fact, I'm here because I just bought a Casio PX860 instead of a Yamaha P-115. The fit and finish of a keyboard seems less important at first, but an instrument that "feels" high quality will make you want to play it more (that's why I chose the PX860 actually).
But between the CDP-100 and P-115, I'd take the Yamaha.

What is the better home digitial piano when comparing the specs and capabilities of the Williams Overture to the Casio Privia 350 when both priced the same and portability is not a consideration?
